Click image to visit the site You’ll have to get in quick if you want this offer as it ends at 5pm on Thursday 13th December. Right now MUA are giving 40% off all orders (minimum spend £10) and throwing in 5 free “Nail Quake” shatter nail polishes with every qualifying order. They’re celebrating reaching 40,000 “likes” on Facebook, which is a lot of fans! They’re a great value cosmetics company. If you’re wondering what to spend your £10 on to qualify, the Undressed palette (£4) is still one of my favourites, and the eye primer and blushers hold their own against the most expensive ones in my collection. They’ve also just launched magnetic nail polish for £2.99 and “Nail constellation” effects polishes too. Not included in the promotion, but looking very desirable in their own right, they’re just launched a full range of brushes between £1 and £5 which…

Save Up London – So Glad I Went!

September 16, 2012

Deal Pro

London is a maelstrom, you guys! I’m sure it didn’t used to feel this way. When I was a student, conditioned by a couple of years of living in Reading, boldly going around cities, frequenting nightclubs that mysteriously opened at closing time and then, upon returning to the spot the next day to retrieve a forgotten coat, had vanished again. Compared to my grounding education in that, London was a breeze. I used to go every weekend. “Let’s go to the zoo! The museum! Covent Garden!” and then “Let’s go drinking in Islington, gigging in Camden, let’s go to the theatre!” It was nothing… a walk in the park. A decade on, travelling to my destination in London, my reaction to being back there can be described in one sentence, and it is this: “How can you all, thousands of people, all possibly need to be in the exact same place,…

Savvy Beauty Shopping – Bee Loves Bargains

MULTISAVE-OFFER

Hi Everyone! Saving money on beauty shopping is great, nice to know you’ve bought a great product for less than the list price any day. However, let’s be honest, almost all beauty shopping is an indulgence – am I right? We all need to eat, travel to work or school, wear and wash our clothes, pay out rent, but we don’t really *need* beauty products. However – we who come here to love beauty with me like beauty products very much, and we’re going to buy them, at least sometimes, regardless of the fact they are inedible and do a terrible job removing stains from clothing, etc… Just because we are  definitely going to spend a little money on them, doesn’t mean we always need to be devil-may-care about the price tag! I’ve got a few hints and tips for you, mostly they are common sense, but I thought it…

Hey guys! I went for a little pay-day nosey around Boots on Friday and there were so many excellent free gifts with purchase available I couldn’t decide which to buy – heh – ended up not buying anything but I thought you guys might like to know about them L’Oreal have one of their excellent selection boxes free when you spend £15 on L’Oreal at Boots. I love these – I use products from the Christmas one most days! I will probably end up picking this up in store as I fancy trying the nail stencils and superliner, and there are a few L’Oreal products I’ve been hankering after for a while. This Boots 17 offer has been in store for a few weeks but it’s very tempting. Free Get Bronzed kit when you spend £5.99 on any Boots 17 products. It’s presented alongside a price reduction on the Boots…

Free Clinique Gifts With InStyle October 2012 Out Now!

September 2, 2012
By
instyle clinique 010

Hard to believe the “October” Magazines are out already! They come out in the preceding month. I think I actually picked this issue up on the last day of August, which seems super early to be thinking of October, but there it is! The latest issue of InStyle has a super selection of Clinique miniature free cover gifts to choose from. I picked the Long Last Glosswear in Air Kiss. It’s a 2.3ml  miniature size, but I very rarely use up a lipgloss so this is fine with me! The other selections are High Impact Mascara, Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisturiser or Repairwear Laser Focus serum. If you flip to the offer page of the magazine itself you can also see that readers are entitled to a free consultation at Clinique counters to try the new Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector (definitely looking forward to trying this) and if you…

Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup Review

August 31, 2012
By
estee and headington 093

If you visit the Estee Lauder UK page on Facebook you can click on their links to find a store near you that is giving out 10 day samples of their foundations. I asked at the Estee Lauder counter in my local Boots store, and although the sales assistant hadn’t actually heard of the Facebook promotion (oops!) she was happy to match my shade in their popular “Invisible Fluid Foundation” and gave me a little bottle of it to take away. The promotional phrase for this product is “See no make up, Feel no make up” and “The newest way to go flawless”, this sounds like a bit of a contradiction in terms as flawlessness with a very light coverage seems like a bold claim. As you know, I’ll try any foundation with an open mind, so let’s have a go at this one… This is the little sample in my…

Free Beauty Samples Via Facebook!

August 9, 2012

It seems most days there’s the gentle thump of a sample envelope on my mat, and so many of them are coming via Facebook, I thought I’d give you guys the heads up in case you want to get some too! I’ve had just loads via the Garnier UK Facebook Page. Probably the best one is the above 14 day trial of Garnier Ultralift – it’s a decent amount of product in hygenic little samples. So handy for travelling and a really good way of knowing if the product works for you. I’ve also had their BB Cream and some other things, they do this sample deal fairly often so like their page and check back for updates if you are interested . In the world of shopping for beauty products, there’s probably nothing more disappointing than buying an expensive new foundation and finding after the second use that it irritates…

Lancôme Hypnose Mascara Review

July 12, 2012

I’m really enjoying all the products from the Lancôme Gift With Purchase I was given for review purposes. You know sometimes when you get a goodie bag and it’s like “This thing is nice but what am I going to do with that?” well, it seems these guys are all winners. It’s good news that it seems the offer has been extended and it is still available at Boots and online when you buy two or more Lancôme products, one to be skincare. Today I tried the travel size (2ml) Hypnose mascara in Noir Hypnotic. I’ve been looking forward to trying this as I loved the mini Hypnose Doll Eyes mascara I got in a previous Gift With Purchase. I applied two coats and this is the result: Hey, good looking lashes! Hubba hubba! It’s not as huge as the Doll Eyes variety but it’s a gorgeous volumising a lengthening effect with no clumps,…

YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation Review

July 11, 2012

DSC_0701

I love a foundation launch. I love the promises and the adverts. I think the thing I love most is the cute little bottles of three, five or seven days worth of the product to try. I love these. A premium foundation is a big-ticket item and everyone applies and wears it differently, it’s just a bit too much of a leap of faith to buy such a personal product without trying it first. I’m so pleased premium beauty counters are catching on with this because it makes top quality products so much more accessible and the mini bottles are adorable . The latest exciting free sample campaign is Yves Saint Laurent’s Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation. You’ve probably all  heard of the Touche Éclat complexion highlighter – it’s a cult product. If anyone is looking to stock up on their Touche Éclat it’s actually on special offer at Debenhams - a few quid…
