Hey beauty fans! So sorry for the silence around these parts. I really have been quite ill this week and now have been prescribed antibiotics and told to rest! Don’t you just hate that? I’ve got loads of interesting beauty stuff to bring you but I’m having trouble managing much more than watching (and loving!) the Olympics right now.
It’s my 32nd birthday today! To celebrate this Beloved Boyfriend took me out shopping on Saturday and he bought me two of the lovely products from my Most Wanted list!
MAC Transparent Finishing Powder
I’ve been lusting after this product for ages as it seems such a great idea, a product that sets the foundation without adding a layer of pigment of its own. It’s really invisible in use, the MAC lady showed us. I think my charming benefactor was a bit bemused to pay £19.50 for something so demonstrably invisible. The Emperors New MAC, anyone? I’m extremely pleased with this present as it’s not only something I’ve wanted for ages, but it’s a shiny black compact full of white-looking face powder. Gothest make up ever, yes?
Calvin Klein Sheer Beauty EDT
I’ve probably tried this fragrance every time I’ve passed a perfume counter for six months. I’d completely run out of perfume so I was so happy when he said he would buy me some! The great thing about shopping for perfumes with your partner is that you can choose something you both like the smell of on you. I bought a Lush fragrance a while ago that I LOVED on me but he doesn’t like it – you can’t really help it if you don’t like a smell so there was nothing for it but to not wear it, sad times! Luckily, we both love the CK Sheer Beauty. It’s such a perfect pretty summer fragrance.
So that was my lovely birthday treats! I’m looking forward to using them and letting you know what I think of them, as soon as I’m up and about again. Not much call for invisible face powder in bed ill, after all!
