I was hoping to be able to bring you this post at the beginning of June, but between finishing my old job, getting a (squee!) new job, getting a flat, packing up, argh… I haven’t done a beauty counter run since May! Hard to believe for me

I’ve been dying to get my hands on this Lancôme Gift With Purchase and I was lucky enough that my lovely Lancôme ladies at Boots Truro had one to give me although it was the last official day of the offer. There is a rumour that it might be extended so I recommend asking at your Lancôme counter to see if it is, it’s definitely a good one if you get the chance to get it.

It comes in a really gorgeous little purse/cosmetic bag with a design by Jenny Packham. My photo doesn’t really do it justice, there’s a nice picture of it on the Harvey Nichols site though.

The really good thing about this gift is the products. They’re Lancôme’s icons, their key pieces , the flagships of their collection if you will…

There’s a generous sample size of their iconic Hypnôse mascara. I absolutely loved Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara so I can’t wait to give this one a try.

The lipstick is L’absolu Rouge in shade 06. I’ve never used a Lancôme lipstick before and I’m really looking forward to using this. Despite the fact it is a small size, the packaging is brilliant and it feels expensive. The best thing about this is the smell. It smells so utterly gorgeously lipsticky like expensive lipstick should. It smells classy. Sigh! This is the stuff beauty addicts live for .

There’s also a 5ml sample size of Genifique and a 7ml of Visionnaire, the two serums that were the flagship launch earlier in the year. Visionnaire is far and away the best skin treatment I’ve used, for anti-ageing, skin texture and enhancing appearance, and this size is definitely enough to get an idea how it will work out for you. Genifique is also nice (they recommend Genifique in the morning and Visionnaire at night) but I think Visionnaire is really the star of this show.

Lastly there’s a full 50ml sample size of the Lancôme product I’ve been most wanting to try, the micellar water: Eau Micellaire Douceur. I haven’t tried this but I’ve heard great things so I’m looking forward to reviewing it for you.
