Poundland Nail Varnish Picks

Poundland keeps on getting awesome nail varnishes imported from the US and I just can’t resist them. It’s a good thing they’re just £1 or this could become a problem…

Last week I picked up two

Sally Hansen Salon Nail Lacquer in Berry Sweet and Revlon Nail Enamel in 799 Plum Night.

Not a brilliant pic I’m afraid, I hope it shows you something of the colour and the shine. This is a beautiful soft deep berry pink which is both a strong colour and infinitely grown up and work appropriate. It’s opaque in 1-2 coats and lasts reasonably well.

Here it is again, let’s call this photo “arty” because it’s not very good but I really like it! The colour is truest here.

The second bargain polish is the Revlon Plum Night

It’s such a deep dark blue purple as to be almost black but it’s not black. It’s like one of those blue/purple crayons which are brighter on  drawing with them than in the stick. Do you know the colour I mean?

It’s a typical Revlon vanish, high quality with deep pigmentation. It works best if you apply two neat thin coats. It’s really not a spring shade but what do we ex-goths care for this?

Both polishes are super and well worth picking up if your local Poundland has them too! Got anything good from there lately?

I wish my Poundland got all these excellent nail varnishes! I may have to start combing nearby Poundland stores in my spare time…

I went looking in my Poundland, and there were only horrible coral pink Miss Sporty ones. Boo! :(
