Boyfriend, looking at my nails: “That is British Racing Green”
Me: “I know that because it says it on the bottom of the bottle!”
Boyfriend: -looks at me sideways-
Me: “Does it really look like British Racing Green?”
~Those of you who know me will know I’d barely recognise a CAR let alone a specific colour of one~
Boyfriend: “I think so, well, sometimes the metallic finish is extra”
Me: -Silly grin of expensive car finish nails-
Teehee, my boyfriend makes me goofy 
I bought this Barry M Nail Paint shade 299 in Racing Green after seeing and admiring it on several blogs. It’s £2.99 in Superdrug and I completely love it. I have only ever had a couple of Barry M polishes but this one is making me wonder why I don’t have lots, lots more.

It’s a deep, ever so slightly bluish green with gorgeous shiny finish and tiny flecks of inner sparkle. It lasts and lasts, 4 days before any sign of wear appeared and even then it was minor. It’s one of those polishes that gives you “nail pride”, you know what I mean? It’s quite hard to photograph, everything is at this time of year in a dimly lit flat, to be honest.
Stop! In the name of nails…
I suppose the thing I like best about this nail varnish is it punches above it’s weight. It’s as good as something twice the price or more. I’m really impressed by it. I can see more Barry M Nail Paint in my future – well deserving its cult status in my book.
I recently had to be led through the crazy world of make-up and nail polish by a friend, and we opted for BarryM nails too. Boy, am I glad of that – so much so I had to break my lurker-silence on your blog.
The polish lasts an entire week if, like you say, I don’t mind signs of a little wear after 4 days; the colours are brilliant, too. I hadn’t seen this racing green before, though! It’s definitely reassuring given its price, though. Nary a day has gone by since when I haven’t had painted nails. I’m addicted to the effect, and am glad it lasts.

Addicted to the effect is spot on, I have got no polish on my nails for the first time in weeks and I keep looking at my hands like “something’s wrong here!” it’s just so nice having bright sparkly finger ends! And Barry M is just so good
